For over 30 years, Paladius has been the industry leader in supplying the first responder community with innovative safety equipment, vehicles and supplies.

In December of 1986, Puerto Rico experienced the Dupont Plaza Hotel fire. A significant and catastrophic event which tragically claimed 98 lives. The event was a wake-up call for the first responders of Puerto Rico.

 

Carlos Riego, our co-founder, was already working in the fire industry and saw an opportunity. In 1992, Carlos and his wife Nivia Maldonado founded Industrial Fire Products Corp., a family-owned business.

 

Together they brought new products, knowledge, and innovation to Puerto Rico's fire and rescue services while becoming the island's industry leader. A one-stop shop to around-the-clock support.

 

In 2022, as we celebrate our 30th anniversary, the timing is perfect to re-brand, by changing our name to Paladius. This is part of our evolution and targeted expansion plan, as we strategically grow into new public and private sectors of the industry.
